Information
One of the Host Venues for the 2015 World Men’s Handball Championship, the Lusail Sports Arena is the largest multipurpose hall in the Middle East. Located in Lusail City, the arena will serve as a host to numerous global sporting events.
We provided the entire Low Voltage system solution to the installation, a feat that we are extremely proud given the fact that this was one of the first stadiums in Qatar, to achieve a 4 star Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) rating in recognition of its environmentally friendly design.
The distinctive Dia / Grid is made of glass, and colored after the representative elements of Qatar : the sand, the pearl and the sea water. The Total footprint area is 4,000 square meters with a built up area of 130,000 meters.
The arena features one main and two training halls following the standards and the recommendations of the International Handball Federation (IHF). It is surrounded by a massive landscape of 350,000 square meters, decorated with colorful shaded trees, walking/jogging and bicycling tracks, an outdoor covered gym, as well as covered and uncovered kids playgrounds.
